A Few Bad Apples?

Yesterday, I wrote a simple post discussing some of the action that I think is reasonable and desirable for us as a country. After posting that in a couple of my social circles, I saw one response that bothered me amidst overwhelming support otherwise.

People have decided that the best way to trivialize the protests is to suggest that the problem with policing is just “a few bad apples.” Interestingly enough, many of these people who say that police have a few bad apples also believe that are protesters are rioting and looting even though there is comprehensive video evidence to prove otherwise.
